Project Planning and Scheduling

Zancon has been engaged by the Principal Contractor on the New Performing Arts Venue (NPAV) in Brisbane.

The new theatre comprises a minimum 1500 seat theatre and rehearsal studios, with key design features such an iconic rippled curved glass façade and a significant First Nations artwork in the external entry forecourt.

The circa AU$189 million theatre will be the new home for the Queensland Ballet, Opera Queensland and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. The building will complete the heritage-listed Robin Gibson-designed Queensland Performing Arts Centre and the Queensland Cultural Precinct.

Zancon’s Brisbane office team has assisted the Principal Contractor on programme and progress analysis, extension of time claims and independent reports, as well as formulation of programme resetting and recovery strategies to optimise the delivery of the new build.

The Zancon team workshopped complex sequencing and staging to assist the Principal Contractor in producing a programme to completion utilising project benchmarking and project specific risk modelling.
